DRUGS DEMAND REDUCTION

Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts

Supported by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, GoI since 1999 it operates in Srikrishana Vihar At. Gahiragadia. Banki . Cuttack District of Odisha. It has capacity of 15 inmates at any particular time, cumulating to 180 clients per year. This provides treatment, referral and counselling services as per the IRCA norms.

Regular family counselling session for the family members( Four Number of individual client’s family per month)
Family re-educative session held at least four times in a month, with all family members at a time.
Frequent Home Visit for seeking family and active attachment and involvement throughout the treatment and recovery process.
Regular communication with family members of client over phone contact and video calling etc.

CAMPUS DEVELOPED SPECIAL FOR THE DRUG ADDICTS

In the aim of Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyaan, we are running the project IRCA under the scheme of NAPDDR with the support of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India from 1999.This project is running in the name of “MUKTI SADAN” at Sri Krishna Vihar, Gahiragadia of Banki Block under Cuttack District. We have designed this campus by planting different species during development period of last 25 years.This campus is situated near a green reserve forest site with full of flora and fauna. It impresses just like Ashram – a place of holiness. This campus is built for running the Drug De-addiction Centre under IRCA Project. We have built different rooms like suitable living rooms for addicts, rooms for administrative work, refreshment, dinning, kitchen, store, recreational club, doctor’s chamber, classroom & toilets in an area of 2500sqft. Besides that we make a spiritual classroom where the spiritual books (Shrimad Bhagavad Gita) read by inhabitants in every evening.

Rehabilitation & Training

Rehabilitation is an important part of our treatment. We have given emphasis on the rehabilitation of the addicts after having being treated for drug dependent. That we have studied mostly relapse case is due to unskilled and unemployment. In this point of view we have given priority for providing skill development training to the clients and give a new livelihood opportunity. Now we facilitated the campus with all infrastructure for various skill development programmes such as Diary, Fishery, Organic farming, Horticulture, Floriculture, Mushroom cultivation, Vermi Compost, Bee-keeping and Nursery. These programmes give an opportunity to the recovered addicts to be trained on the above mentioned items and can take-up any such cropping for these sustainable living. From our experience we have studied such type of cases and satisfied a good number of patients who are live a mannerless life, now an asset for their family and society at large. This is Possible because of the good gestures and efforts of the Government of India.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROMOTION

Environmental Promotion is another duty of Organization to identify climate change risks that affect business operation, act on the basis of risk assessment to classify risks for treatment as priority issued or for continuous monitoring and promote measures to address them.

Our organization in addition to continual growth value harmony with Environment and endeavor to create a vibrant society as a corporate citizen that fulfills its social responsibility with enthusiasm and pride.

Activities Community service ideas to help the Environment

(a) Start a garden or plant a few trees in the locality.

(b) Go door to door collecting old phone books, and other unusable paper items, clean garbage along a hiking or biking trail or even just on the side of the road, tries to organize an energy audit for your school, work place or community centre.

OLD AGE HOME

Our civilization now does not intent to give proper care is the Older Person due to poverty and articulated behaviors by which the Older Persons were neglected by their family members and deprived from food, nutrition and Medicines. Again some high society persons were busy in their work schedules and live style, by which they choose service provider for their parents to keep in a certain Old Age Home Centre.

This is now a days of burning issue of have-nots. We extends our hand to help and care the older persons. Our volunteers negotiated and tried to make the family members understood about the need of caring the Older Person. Some of the family members again accept their parents with love and affection and some of them denied. By feeling the need of the situation we established an Old Age Home in our own campus at Gahiragadia Village of Cuttack District.
